A Little Information On The National Modena Club

Welcome to the new site for the National Modena Club. And to start this out, I would like to thank Lorry Burgr our Webmaster. She is dedicating many hours for us to have this site. Her help on this is invaluable to the NMC and we are all very thankful for her. Thank you Lorry.

As Publicity Director for the NMC I would like to share with you the club that has been such a big part of my life.

In 1936 the National Modena Club was formed. For the last 71 years hundreds of members has enjoyed the breeding, showing and friendships of the NMC. What has been the heart of the NMC are the friendships it has brought to so many. Most of the best friends I have made in my life were fellow breeders I have met through this club.

The NMC has 15 shows a year across the USA and Canada. These shows have been the highlights of everyone’s show season. The NMC has held the largest Modena shows in the world. Some of our meets have exceeded a thousand entries and our last joint National show with the NPA saw over eight hundred entries. A fact we are very proud of.

Many of our past and current members have been some of the biggest names in the pigeon world. Dedicated pigeon people that have fallen in love with the Modena. We have been lucky to have many of these people in our club and supporting our hobby.

One of the reasons for the Modenas popularity is the variations of colors bred in this breed. Many geneticists have bred the Modena to find new variations in our colors. And they have come up with some new and exciting colors over the last 71 years. .

This cobby bird with so many curves has played a big role in many of our lives. And we hope that the Modena will find a way into your life. If it does, the NMC is there to help you in any way we can. And as Publicity Director I offer my assistance for any questions you may have.

Click on our membership application and join us for some of the best year around fun you will ever have. It will be good to have you with us.
Thank you.
